Cabin Baggage and Size Allowed

Only one item per passenger is allowed through the airport search point with a maximum size of 56cm x 45cm x 25cm (note: the re-sealable bag must be able to fit within the cabin bag). Additional items, for example hand bags, will be required to fit inside the one permitted item of carry on baggage.

Screened, but permitted are walking aids, wheelchairs and pushchairs.

Outsize Items

All items of luggage which do not fit in the permitted cabin baggage size (maximum length 56 cm, width of 45 cm and depth of 25 cm) must be checked in to be placed in the aircraft hold.
An exception to this is musical instruments, these are allowed on the craft as a second item of hand baggage. It is advisable to check with your airline before travelling if any special arrangements need to be made. |

Liquids

Security at Glasgow Airport now allows liquids to be carried onto the aircraft. However, if you need to take onboard liquids read the following unofficial information:

Passengers are now allowed to carry small quantities of liquids, however, only when carried within separate containers greater than 100ml in quantity.

Said containers of liquids must be brought into the airport in their separate containers, carried in a single, transparent, re-sealable plastic bag - see below - which itself must not exceed 1 litre in capacity (approximately 20cms x 20cms).
The contents of the plastic bag must then fit comfortably within it, and the bag should be sealed shut.
Each passenger is restricted to carrying one such bag of liquids only. |

The bag has to be presented for examination at the airport security point. |

|

Any liquids that can't be placed within the re-sealable bag - as shown above - has to be packed into the passenger's main hold luggage. Liquids within the main hold luggage can be carried in any quantity.

The term liquids includes:

- All drinks such as water, soup, syrups and baby milks
- Lotions, oils, creams, perfumes
- Spray deodorant and pressurized containers including shaving foam
- Pastes, including toothpastes
- Gels, including hair and shower gel
- Any other solutions and items of similar consistency

Liquid Baby Food

Flying with baby foods - please be advised that baby foods and sterilised water are permitted in larger quantities above the 100ml limit but only sufficient for the journey. These liquids will be subject to a taste test at airport security.

Essential Liquid Medicines

Flying with medicines - please be advised that it is permitted to take essential medicines for the duration of your trip but they will be subject to the following authentications. You must obtain written permission from the airline and the airport. You should also have documentation from a qualified medical professional such as your GP or consultant.

Laptops and Electrical Items

Large electrical like for example hairdryer and laptops must be removed from the cabin baggage and screened separately. Do note that a laptop bag does make up the one item that is allowed in the cabin.
